For a small hatchback, this Citigo has bags of character. It instantly catches your eye as the white paintwork looks excellent with the offsetting black alloy wheels, mirror caps, rear spoiler, front grill and decals. On the inside, the car has a vibrant, sporty red & black interior that commands your attention. The gloss black dash and leather bound steering wheel add a luxury feel to the car which sets it apart from others in its category.

The Monte Carlo models that Skoda produce always have a sportier look and feel about them and that’s because its a reference to their rally racing history. In 1936, the ‘Skoda Popular Roadster’ defied all the odds and finished second in the highly competitive World Rally Championship in Monte Carlo and as a result, Skoda are the only brand with permission to display Monte Carlo on its vehicles.  

The Citigo Monte Carlo is designed to look sporty without being sporty. It has a 1.0 MPI petrol engine, which produces a respectful 59 BHP – ample power for nipping around town and commuting. The Citigo is known for being agile & having excellent handling capabilities. Driving these really emphasises the fact that you don’t need a big engine and lots of horsepower to have a fun driving car. These Monte Carlo models were supplied new from the factory with ‘lowered sports suspension’ – although it’s arguable that it enhances the styling rather than being a dynamic performance upgrade. When driven accordingly, these small engines are more than capable of returning excellent MPG figures.

Without a doubt, these cars are very enjoyable to drive and they even benefit from a low road tax banding (£20 per year). Not only that but as they have a small engine, they are also an incredibly low insurance grouping (2E) making it an ideal car for new/learner drivers.

As this is the 5-door model, they make for a practical small hatchback. They’re surprisingly spacious for a small car with good boot and cabin space throughout the vehicle. In terms of spec, they are well equipped with some great features, including: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Bluetooth, 15″ Alloy Wheels, Portable Infotainment System & Sat Nav.

In terms of the condition, this Citigo really does look to have been well cared for by the previous owners. It is of course coming up for 11 years old and as such it has signs of use/age but overall it is in really good condition as you can see from the photographs. To further emphasise how well cared for this car has been, it boasts a brilliant service history which includes a receipt of timing belt change back in 2021. As part of our vehicle prep, we have fitted new front brake discs & pads as well as submitted it for MOT, with it now next due 21/04/2026.
