When it comes to city cars & small hatchbacks, the Toyota Aygo is a brilliant option, they’re smooth to drive, economical and have an excellent reputation. With this in mind we are delighted to be advertising this truly excellent value for money, low mileage Toyota Aygo X-Play.

One of the reasons why the Aygo is excellent value is because Toyota teamed up with Citroen & Peugeot to design the C1, 108 & Aygo – they’re a shared venture and essentially all the same cars just with subtle styling differences. What that gives you is a host of shared technology, combining three manufactures knowledge and resources into one car.

This Aygo runs the popular 1.0 VVT-i engine which produces 67 BHP, giving it ample power for day-to-day driving. The engine is complemented by a smooth 5-speed manual gearbox and overall, you find that these Aygo’s are a very pleasant car to drive – they’re smooth, responsive and offer good ride quality and handling. They’re a nimble and agile car making them perfect for nipping around town! When driven accordingly you can expect an excellent return on MPG figures. They’re a perfect car for new/learner drivers or even as an affordable run around as they benefit from being in a low insurance group (07E).

The styling of the Aygo is rather quirky and as such they’re instantly recognisable! The exterior looks lovely in the vibrant red paintwork, with the contrasting black trim & their signature ‘Black X’ front bumper. The interior is simple and subtle, giving a very clean look & finish throughout. Being the 5-door hatchback, it has a sense of practicality about it that you just don’t get with small 3-door hatchbacks. Access to the rear seats is far easier and comfortable to get in and out of. Overall, there is good cabin space within the Aygo which is a pleasant surprise for a car of this size, it doesn’t feel small or cramped on the inside, if anything it feels the opposite and is relatively spacious all things considered.

When it comes to spec, the X-Play model provides some excellent features, which include: Air Conditioning, 7” Touchscreen Multi Media System, Bluetooth Compatibility, DAB Radio, Speed Limiter & Rear Parking Camera.

This is of course an 8-year-old car now, but it does have an incredibly low mileage and as such it is in very nice condition throughout. It of course has the odd mark as you would expect any used car to have, but overall, it looks to have been well cared for – as you can see from the photographs! To further emphasise how well cared for this car has been, you just have to look at the service history as despite having such a low mileage, it has still been serviced regularly with it having 6 recorded services.
